Terms of Use
Effective 27 September 2026 · Monni app for iOS and watchOS (bundle identifier com.monni.finance).
1. What this document is
This is an agreement between you and Ramin Abakov, the developer of Monni ("we"). By installing or using Monni you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What Monni is
Monni is an app for tracking personal and small-business finances: you record income and expenses, keep wallets, budgets, goals, and debts, and get statistics and reports. Monni:
- is not a bank, a payment system, or a financial institution;
- does not process payments and has no access to your bank accounts or cards;
- does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
Every figure in the app is based on data you entered. You are responsible for its completeness and accuracy.
3. Account
- An account is required — by email or with Sign in with Apple. You agree to provide accurate details and not to share access with third parties.
- You are responsible for all activity in your account and for keeping your password safe.
- The app is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 18, use the app with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- You can delete your account at any time: Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is irreversible.
4. Acceptable use
You may use Monni only to track your own finances or the finances of a business you are entitled to manage. You must not:
- upload other people's personal or financial data without a lawful basis;
- interfere with the app or server, bypass restrictions, or access other users' data;
- decompile, modify, or redistribute the app or any part of it;
- use the app for unlawful purposes, including money laundering or tax evasion.
5. Artificial-intelligence features
- Smart input, receipt scanning, statement import, bill splitting, chat, and written insights in reports rely on external AI models and are enabled only after you consent to sharing data with AI (details in the Privacy Policy).
- AI can make mistakes: misread an amount, category, or merchant, or draw an inaccurate conclusion. Check the result before saving.
- All AI insights, suggestions, and advice are for information only and are not professional financial advice. Decisions about your money are yours alone.
6. System integrations
- Apple Pay. Monni can log purchases paid with Apple Pay only if you create an automation in the Shortcuts app yourself. The app receives only what the automation passes on (amount, merchant, card name) and has no access to Wallet, cards, or payment data. Apple, Apple Pay, Apple Watch, and Siri are trademarks of Apple Inc.; Monni is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.
- Siri, widgets, Apple Watch. Work with your account data on this device and need no permissions beyond those the system requests.
- Notifications. Sent only if you allowed them; can be turned off in the app or in iOS Settings.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its code, design, texts, icons, and the Monni name belong to the developer and are protected by law. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store terms. Your data remains yours: we claim no rights over the information you enter.
8. Pricing and subscriptions
Monni is free to use. The free version has a monthly limit on AI operations (recognising entries, receipts and statements, and chat); the current limit and what remains are shown in the app.
- Monni Premium is an auto-renewable subscription, monthly or yearly. It removes the AI-operation limit and unlocks Premium features, including Apple Pay automation and business mode. The current Premium features are listed on the subscription screen in the app.
- The price and term are shown in the app before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- If a plan offers a free trial, the paid subscription starts when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your Monni account does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies: reportaproblem.apple.com.
- You can restore purchases on another device with the same Apple ID using “Restore Purchases” on the subscription screen.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is". We work to keep Monni stable and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, preservation of data in the event of device or network failure, or the accuracy of calculations, forecasts, or AI output. Export important data regularly (Settings → Export transactions (CSV)).
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, data loss, or financial decisions made on the basis of information in the app. The developer's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the preceding 12 months (zero for the free version).
11. Termination
You may stop using Monni at any time by deleting your account and the app. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms or the law, notifying you in advance where possible.
12. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. We will announce material changes in the app. By continuing to use Monni after the changes take effect, you accept the new version.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Disputes are resolved by negotiation and, failing that, in the courts at the developer's location, unless mandatory law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
