Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Trimmi ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use the Trimmi mobile application (the "App"). Your privacy is important to us. We designed Trimmi to work entirely on your device and to avoid collecting your personal data whenever possible.

Short version: Trimmi runs entirely on your device. We do not upload your photos, videos, or library to any server. We do not sell your data. We do not track you across apps.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Trimmi does not transmit your photos, videos, or any media file content outside your device. All analysis — including duplicate detection, similarity matching, blur and dark-shot recognition, and compression — happens locally on your iPhone or iPad using on-device AI.

We do not collect:

2. Information We Do Process Locally

The App reads metadata from the Photos library on your device (file size, creation date, modification date, dimensions, duration, and media type) in order to show scan results and estimated space savings. This metadata stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

3. Permissions We Request

4. Third-Party Services

We use a minimal set of third-party services to operate the subscription feature. These services may receive limited information as described below.

Apple — In-App Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's privacy practices are described at apple.com/legal/privacy.

RevenueCat — Subscription Management

We use RevenueCat to validate subscription receipts and determine your entitlement status (free or Pro). RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier generated by their SDK and the receipt information provided by Apple. It does not receive your Apple ID, email, or media. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

5. Analytics and Crash Reporting

Trimmi does not use third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs. We do not track feature usage, screen views, or behavioural metrics. iOS may provide Apple with anonymous crash reports if you opted in at the system level; those reports are governed by Apple's privacy policy and are not shared with us in identifiable form.

6. Data Storage and Security

All data generated by Trimmi — such as your scan results, lists of excluded photos, and app preferences — is stored locally in the App's sandbox on your device. When you uninstall Trimmi, all of this data is removed by iOS.

7. Children's Privacy

Trimmi is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly process personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8. International Users

Because Trimmi processes your data entirely on your device, no international data transfer occurs. If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with data protection laws, the rights granted by those laws (such as access, rectification, and erasure) generally do not apply because we do not control or process your personal data on our servers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the App before they take effect.
